Taxi Drivers
All our drivers have undergone thorough training, tests and checks. We require them to have a clean driving licence and the appropriate taxi licence, issued by the local authority. You can see the register of taxi licences here.
In addition, we insist that each driver has a DBS (formerly CRB) check to ensure that they are suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults. The Government’s Disclosure and Barring Service works closely with a range of organisations:
- The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC)
- Home Office
- Department for Education – owns the safeguarding policy for children
- Department of Health – owns the safeguarding policy for vulnerable groups

Our Tracking System
Every one of our vehicles has a Global Positioning System installed in it, which is linked to our despatch system. This means we can track our vehicles – we know where all our working cars are situated and we can follow your journey from start to finish. In the unlikely event that your journey is interrupted by vehicle breakdown, we know exactly where you are and we’ll get another car to you as soon as we can.
